# Unknown computer company

Unknown is an independent computer company building the information layer beneath the AI-native company.

We believe every business should have a living understanding of itself: its customers, people, products, relationships, decisions, history, and current state. That understanding should belong to the company rather than being fragmented across the applications and models it happens to use.

Our first work is Known, a continuously maintained company model that gives humans and agents shared context grounded in history, relationships, and provenance. Unknown is for founders and teams building AI-native companies from day one, organizations that need durable institutional memory, and builders creating agentic software that must understand the business it serves.

Unknown was founded by Nikolai Onken and Brock Whitten. The company works from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Vancouver, Canada.
